General Surgery
Our hospital loves taking care of your furry family members needs and sometimes this includes surgical procedures. All of our surgeries require Pre-Operative Bloodwork screening to make sure your pet is healthy and safe under anesthesia. Some of the surgical procedures we conduct include spays, neuters, mass removals, and more.
Pre-Surgical
What am I supposed to do if my pet has surgery coming up?
Make sure they are healthy and do not have any new medical concerns in the days leading up to their scheduled surgery. On the night before, make sure all food is taken away by 10pm and water is taken away first thing in the morning on the day of their surgery. Make sure to call us if there are any questions leading up to your pets procedure.

What happens during my pets surgery?
Every pet that is brought in for a surgical procedure is given a pain injection to help calm their nerves and relieve any pain before and shortly after their procedure. Your pet has a qualified technician with them at all times from start to finish of their procedure and we follow all regulated guidelines to keep your pet safe while under anesthesia. Vitals are recorded continuously throughout the surgery and during recovery to make sure your pet is safe. Each pet's surgery is also completed with a laser therapy treatment to help accelerate healing and relieve pain and inflammation. We always make sure to keep owners updated and aware of when their pet is out of surgery. This way you know what is going on and all of your nerves can be relieved knowing your pet is in good hands at all times.
Post-Operative Care
Your pet is ready to go home, so now what?
When needed we will always recommend each pet goes home with an e-collar to make sure the surgical incision site is protected and can heal properly. Each pet will also go home with pain medications, antibiotics, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication to help with recovery. When your pet is discharged you will be provided with instructions specifically designed for your pet and their procedure.
