What vaccines are available for my dog?
  • Rabies 1 year and 3 year
          This vaccine is required by law in Florida and helps protect your pet from a life-threatening disease easily caught by unvaccinated animals.
  • DA2PP 1 year and 3 year (Distemper, Adenovirus type 2 (Hepatitis), Parvovirus, Parainfluenza)
         This vaccine protects your pet from a variety of fatal diseases that can be transmitted between dogs.
  • Bordetella 1 year
          This vaccine protects your pet against kennel cough. 
  • Leptospirosis 1 year
          This vaccine protects against a bacterial infection that can infect your dog through puddles and bodies of water.
  • Lyme 1 year
         This vaccine protects against a bacterial infection transmitted by ticks. A common parasite in Florida.
Heartworms
Heartworms are a parasitic worm transmitted by mosquitos to your pet. These silent killers can cause heart failure, lung disease, and other damages in the body. Dogs should be tested at least every 12 months to make sure they are free from this parasite!

Heartworms can be prevented! Make sure your pet is on monthly prevention such as:
  • Heartgard Plus
  • Interceptor Plus
  • Simparica Trio

Fleas, Ticks, and Intestinal Parasites
Fleas and ticks are very common in the state of Florida and can cause not only discomfort to your pet but also lead to severe health issues. 
Some other pesty parasites to watch out for are intestinal parasites. these include:
  • Hookworms
  • Roundworms
  • Tapeworms
  • Whipworms
  • Coccidia
  • Giardia
These parasites can cause gastrointestinal discomfort, diarrhea, lethargy, and even death in severe cases. Make sure your pet is getting yearly fecal testing to make sure they are safe from these microscopic parasites. Also make sure to keep them on monthly prevention!
